It was my plan to see (for the fourth time) at least two series of “Friends” each week. A kind of “Friends marathon”, you might say. Well, during the last month, it kind of got delayed: I got to see the final episodes of the anime series “Full Metal Alchemist”. A superbe story in a parallel universe, where science is missing, replaced by alchemy, a pseudo-science capable of recombining matter, but incapable of dealing with human life.
Another series I finished seeing today was “Tru Calling” – about a girl who relieves some days(similarly to the Groundhog’s day), in order to save the lives of people dead those days. Captivating.. too bad that the series was discontinued after the first season.
It kind of reminded me of “John Doe”, a series about an amnesiac with an encyclopedic memory, able to see only in black and white, helping the police in murder cases. Catchy first season, but for the final episodes, where the paranormal side and weird intrigue gave me headaches. Why did they have to destroy the interesting plot by mixing paranormal within? No wonder it was discontinued as well…
