  1. Jeux d’enfants / Love me if you dare – a film about two children playing a ‘dare or not” game, that turns into a serious obsession once they grow up. Very nice image(à la Amelie Poulain), very cool idea, a good scenario, a very weird ending. my rating : 4.5 / 5.
  2. Les Innocents /The dreamers – some shocking sex scenes, a small story about an american in Paris, in some troubled times and in the company of a very troubled french family. my rating: 4 / 5

  3. Van Helsing – fantasy, action, vampires; solid scenario, although very stupid/wrong images of Romania and Transylvania; but taking it as a fantasy story, in an imaginary country, I liked it. my rating: 3.5 / 5
  4. Roger Dodger – great performance, theater-like; witty dialogues, not much action, but oh, the dialogues.. :) my rating: 4.2 / 5 .

  5. Clerks – the last film missing from my Kevin Smith film collection; it was made quite a long time before Jay and Silent Bob, Dogma, Chasing Amy or even Mallrats. Jay and Silent Bob appear only episodically, but still, the film is a jewel. The dialogues and acting are superb, the filmshots are fresh (although the near-amateur filming style got a bit deprecated), and the film, although very static, is far from getting boring. I prefer the other KS’s movies, but this one is not bad, either.
  6. Dead Man – another black n white movie, very static, very calm, very.. photographic. Looks like every frame within was shot by a professional photographer. Made in the style of the 30’s 40’s western movies, this one is an artistic creation above all, with amazing acting performance of the cast. Johnny Deep plays another weird role, of an inadapted man on a spiritual journey towards death and reinventing himself as an indian.
